The victim of the Rameshwaram bombing describes the horror: “I heard sound and lost consciousness.”

One of the wounded victims described the terror that struck the well-known Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru a day after the huge explosion that occurred there. The victim, who was released from the hospital on Saturday, said he was unsure of what was going on at the time of the explosion.

“I’m not sure what happened when I entered…After hearing the noise, I passed out and also lost my sense of hearing. The victim told news agency ANI, “I feel fortunate not to have suffered any bodily damage; I simply lost my minor hearing capabilities, which will be restored in a week or two.

“The staff at Rameshwaram Cafe was helpful; they assisted me in getting to the hospital,” he said. I’m doing well following the therapy.

A low-intensity explosion in Bengaluru’s Brookfield neighborhood’s Rameshwaram Cafe wounded at least ten persons, including patrons and hotel workers. The explosion was triggered by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) with a timer, according to the preliminary investigation, and it happened between 12:50 and 1:00 pm.

In response to the incident, the Bengaluru Police have opened a case under the strict Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the Explosives Substances Act.

The Central Crime Branch has taken over the investigation into the event, according to Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda’s statement on Saturday.

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) has taken up the case’s investigation. The police commissioner said in a post on X, previously known as Twitter, that all of the wounded are on the mend.

Four persons have been held for questioning in relation to the event, according to the police, but no arrests have been made as of yet. The alleged offenders were taken into custody from Bengaluru, Hubballi, and Dharwad.

In the meanwhile, security has been stepped up around Bengaluru, particularly at the train stations, bus stops, M Chinnaswamy cricket stadium, Kempegowda International Airport, and other locations with large pedestrian traffic.
