Investigation Ordered After Kerala School Closed On Pran Pratishtha
As previously reported, an investigation into the event involving the granting of a vacation for a government-aided school in the Kasaragod district on Monday in connection with the Ram Temple consecration ceremony has been ordered by the Kerala Education Department. According to a government announcement, the Director of Public Education has been instructed by General Education Minister V Sivankutty to look into the occurrence at Kudlu Sri Gopalakrishna High School, carry out the investigation, and provide a report within a day.

Closing the school without permission
The Kudlu Sri Gopalkrishna High School in the Keralan district of Karasagod was the target of an investigation by the state education department as a vacation was observed there for Pran Pratishtha without formal departmental approval. The school administration filed an application, but the District Education Officer (DEO) said that it was not formally accepted. As per the school administration, the headmaster has the power to allow the school to observe a local holiday and make up for it by having classes on a different day.

In India, schools are closed on Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha.
While this Keralan school faced consequences for announcing a vacation without permission, state governments in other states ordered the closure of schools on January 22. For Pran Pratishtha, educational institutions were closed in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Goa, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh; other states like Tripura, Assam, and Jammu and Kashmir, a half-day holiday was announced for schools and colleges.
