Will enact strong legislation to combat corruption: Sukhvinder Sukhu, CM of Himachal

Speaking at a public gathering in the Kangra district’s Fatehpur Assembly constituency today, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that the administration will enact stringent legislation to combat corruption in the state. For Fatehpur, he unveiled 14 development projects valued at Rs 232 crore.

“I have always elevated the voice of the common people and have never compromised on principles in my life,” he said. I hail from a regular household, therefore I understand the struggles faced by average people, farmers, and workers. There have been many struggles in my life. The state’s economic crisis was the first obstacle I had to overcome as Chief Minister. Boldly confronting economic difficulties, we determined that the economy could not function on debt. Every Himachali has debt over one lakh rupees now.

Sukhu said that the Congress administration had eliminated all channels of looting and that an extra Rs 2,200 crore had been raised as a result of his sincere efforts. “The earlier pension program, which had been initiated by the previous Congress administration, was immediately terminated by the BJP upon assuming office in Rajasthan. at order to enable government workers and officials to live dignified lives after retirement, we decided to reinstate the previous pension plan at the very first Cabinet meeting after the Congress established the government in Himachal Pradesh,” he said.

He had earlier received a kind greeting from the locals when he arrived at Fatehpur. The vice-chairman of the State Planning Board and MLA for Fatehpur, Bhawani Pathania, greeted Sukhu and thanked him for carrying out the announcements made for Fatehpur.

According to him, the development of resources and methods that the state government was dedicated to supporting was crucial for any area’s prosperity. He continued by saying that when the Chief Minister’s development projects were finished, the locals will have more chances for self-employment and better jobs close to their homes, as well as more revenue streams.

He claimed that the Chief Minister visited every part of the state during the previous year’s rain catastrophe to assist the impacted citizens. The Chief Minister also sent NDRF agents and Air Force helicopters to Fatehpur to evacuate residents from flood-affected regions. They saved 3,000 lives and arranged housing for them.

“The Chief Minister is a member of a common family and thus has a good understanding of the plight of common people,” said Bhawani.

Ray College will bear the former minister’s name.

For the establishment of a civil court at Fatehpur, the Chief Minister allotted Rs 75 lakh.
Sukhu said that sewers would be installed in Fatehpur and a martyr’s monument would be built.
The Chief Minister further said that Raja Ka Talab will get sewerage and that Ray College would be renamed in honor of the late Congressman Sujan Singh Pathania.
