Devendra, an all-around player, excels for Oriental Insurance
In a ‘E’ Division first-round match of the MCA Corporate Cricket Tournament at National CC, Cross Maidan, Oriental Insurance Company Sports & Recreational Club recently defeated Crayon Software India CC by eight wickets, propelled by an outstanding all-around performance by Vansh Devendra, who took two wickets for 49 runs and scored a match-winning unbeaten 93.
Crayon Software India CC scored 167 runs for seven in their 20 overs while batting first. With 55 runs, Pramindra Singh led all scorers. Along with Devendra’s 2-49, Santosh Suke (3-41) bowled well as well. The goal was therefore easily attained by Oriental Insurance Company, which finished at 171 for two in 19.5 overs. Devendra hit six fours and seven sixes in his 49-ball innings. 43 was added by Atharva Ghosalkar.
