Due to an injury, Rhea Ripley was forced to give up the WWE Women’s World Title

Rhea Ripley, the current WWE Women’s World Champion, has declared that she will give up her title. Ripley was injured after being attacked by Liv Morgan, her vehement opponent.

Numerous rumors state that Ripley sustained an injury during the WWE Raw show that aired on April 8. She and Morgan got into a brawl backstage.

Since defeating Charlotte Flair to capture the championship at WrestleMania 39, Ripley has had an incredible run in the WWE. At earlier this month’s WrestleMania XL, The Eradicator defeated Becky Lynch to successfully retain it. On the most recent Monday Night Raw broadcast, the Australian professional wrestler announced her decision to renounce her title.

According to Fox Sports, Rhea Ripley said on Raw, “This championship means the most to me in my entire life and that’s why this is so painful.”

As Ripley was leaving the Monday Night Raw arena, WWE President Paul “Triple H” Levesque gave her a hug.

“I have no doubt in my mind that Rhea Ripley will return, stronger, more powerful than before. Triple H said on social networking site X (previously Twitter): “Thank you, Rhea, for a reign of which the entire WWE Universe can be proud.”

WWE also shared a post on X to confirm the most recent news. “Breaking news: Rhea Ripley has been forced to vacate the Women’s World Championship as a result of a backstage ambush by Liv Morgan last week on WWE Raw,” the WWE article said.

Regarding Rhea Ripley’s potential comeback, there is currently no information available. The Nightmare recapped her incredible championship run in a social media post. Rhea just wrote “380 Days” on X.

In the NXT UK Women’s Championship Tournament Finals, Ripley defeated Toni Storm to become the first NXT UK Women’s Champion, making history. She later won the coveted championship by defeating Shayna Baszler, the NXT Women’s Champion. In order to prevail in the previous year’s Women’s Royal Rumble Match, Ripley put up an outstanding performance.
