For the ODIs against India, Australia recalls Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell, and Mitchell Starc

For the forthcoming three-match One-Day International series in India, Australia has added Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell, and Mitchell Starc to its 18-man lineup.

The three were injured and were unable to go to South Africa recently.

Matthew Short, who has yet to play an ODI, has taken the place of Travis Head, who broke his left hand in South Africa.

Additionally missing were Aaron Hardie, Tim David, and Michael Neser, while all-arounder Ashton Agar is now on paternity leave.

Marnus Labuschagne makes the team after making an unbeaten 80 and 124 in the first two ODIs against the Proteas, while bowler Spencer Johnson keeps his position.

Before the ODI World Cup, which starts on October 5, the three one-day internationals will be played at Mohali, Indore, and Rajkot on September 24, 28, and October 1, respectively.

Pat Cummins (c), Sean Abbott, Alex Carey, Nathan Ellis, Cameron Green, Josh Hazlewood, Josh Inglis, Spencer Johnson, Marnus Labuschagne, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Tanveer Sangha, Matthew Short, Steven Smith, Mitchell Starc, Marcus Stoinis, David Warner, and Adam Zampa make up the Australian team for the ODI series against India.
