Kasun Rajitha of Sri Lanka leaves the Bangladesh test injured

According to Sri Lanka Cricket, in-form speed bowler Kasun Rajitha will miss the second Test matchup with Bangladesh due to a back ailment.

After winning the first Test by 328 runs in Sylhet, visitors Sri Lanka lead the second and final Test 1-0 heading into Chittagong on Saturday.

With eight wickets in two innings, including five-for-six in the second, Rajitha was a major contributor.

Asitha Fernando has been added to the team as a substitute.

According to Sri Lanka Cricket, Kasun Rajitha has an injury to his left upper back and will not be available for the second Test match.

The last time Fernando participated in a Test match in Bangladesh was in 2022, when he took 10 wickets.

His most recent Test match was in February against Afghanistan.

Due to a hamstring injury, he was originally ruled out of the Bangladesh series; however, he made enough progress to be added back to the team for the second Test.

Bangladesh has never lost against Sri Lanka in a Test series.
