Jay Shah, the secretary of the BCCI, said that there won’t be any celebration fireworks at the location after the India vs. Sri Lanka match on Wednesday at the Wankhede Stadium.

“BCCI is cognizant of environmental issues. Since I filed an official complaint with the ICC, Mumbai will not host any fireworks displays, which might raise the city’s pollution levels. According to Jay Shah, “The Board is dedicated to addressing environmental concerns and will consistently prioritize the needs of our supporters and stakeholders.”

“The BCCI recognizes that the quality of the air in Mumbai and New Delhi is a critical issue. We’re working hard to make the ICC World Cup a celebration of cricket, but we’re not going to waver in our resolve to put everyone’s health and safety first,” he said.
