Award Given To Uttar Pradesh For Outstanding Ayushman Bharat Mission Work

At an event held at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi on Wednesday, Uttar Pradesh was presented with two awards for outstanding performance on the Ayushman Bharat Pradhanmantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-Jay) and the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM).

Ayushman Bharat, the Center’s main program, was introduced in response to the National Health Policy 2017’s proposals for achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC).

Ayushman Bharat consists of two interconnected parts, PM-JAY being one of them in addition to Health and Wellness Centers.

According to a release, Uttar Pradesh took first place in terms of generating the most health accounts as part of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), which seeks to build the foundation for the nation’s integrated digital health infrastructure.

According to the report, more than 4.7 billion Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts (ABHA) were established, as opposed to 4.19 billion in Andhra Pradesh and 4.10 billion in Madhya Pradesh.

In Uttar Pradesh, the ABHA was connected to around 2.73 crore health records, it was further said.

According to the state government, some of the important apps employed by Uttar Pradesh were PMJAY, Covin, and e-Kavach.

It further said that 2,73,00,607 health records have been linked and a total of 535 hospitals are now utilizing the HMIS, of which 150 use Scan and Share for online OPD registration.

The state government further said that the ABHA is being created using the e-Kavach Application via community enumeration.

Healthcare professionals may develop ABHA using this program in an offline or online manner.

In terms of Health Professionals Registries, it was said that Uttar Pradesh was India’s top-performing state.

Health Professionals Registries (HPR) have been confirmed for over 42,700 individuals. According to the Health Facilities Registries (HFR), the state came in second. According to the report, a total of 38,863 facilities, including both public and private ones, were validated across the state.

In the Health Management Information System (HMIS) and Scan and Share state, the Uttar Pradesh government claimed that it outperformed every other state.
