Mother Of The Sculptor Says He’s “Very Happy” About Choosing His Ram Idol For The Ayodhya Temple

Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh): Saraswathi, the mother of Scupltor Arun Yogiraj, expressed her joy that her son’s Ram Lalla idol will be erected at Ayodhya on January 22 during the “Pran Pratishtha” event.
“I’m delighted; it’s a consequence of his work over the last six months. The mother of Arun Yogiraj said, “His father would have been pleased to see his artwork.

 

The idol of Ram Lalla, created by Mysore-based sculptor Arun Yogiraj, was chosen to be installed in the ancient temple in Ayodhya, according to a statement released by Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teertha Kshetra on Tuesday.

On January 22, Ram Lalla will have his “Pran Pratishtha” ceremony.

“The Murti sculpted on Krishna Shila by renowned sculptor Arun Yogiraj has been selected as the Shri Vigraha of Bhagwan Shri Ramlalla Sarkar,” the trust said in a post on ‘X’.

Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teertha Kshetra is the trust concerned with the building of the Ayodhya Ram Temple.

In an earlier commentary on Arun Yogiraj’s work, Champat Rai, General Secretary of the trust, commended the sculptor for his extraordinary focus and selflessness throughout the statue’s creation.

For months, he avoided even speaking to his family in order to prevent any interruptions to his work on the monument. He didn’t even get to see the kids’ faces.He said that it is impossible to fathom the kind of life that Arun Yogiraj led while the monument was being built.

For months, he avoided using his phone at work. He didn’t even communicate with his family or kids.

According to Mr. Rai, Arun Yogiraj has been connected to the idol-making trade for many generations. The same task has been done by their forefathers as well.

The source claims that he was the one who sculpted the Shankaracharya statue at Kedarnath. He has also constructed the statue of Subhash Chandra Bose below India Gate in Delhi.

His idol was chosen in the course of choosing the one for Shri Ram Lalla. His effort has received accolades from every trustee.

Rai had earlier on Monday stated that on January 18, the idol of Lord Ram would be set in its proper location at the temple’s “Garbh Griha,” and on January 22, Pran Pratishtha will take place at 12:20 p.m.

Speaking during a news conference, Rai said that Varanasi’s Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid chose the muhurat, or auspicious date.

“On January 16 and continuing through January 21, are the religious rites. The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ event is scheduled for January 22. It is anticipated that the idol used to create “Pran Pratishtha” would weigh between 150 and 200 kilograms. The statue would be positioned in the temple’s ‘Garbh Griha’ on January 18, he continued.

The Pran Prathishtha is anticipated to end by 1 p.m. on January 22 according to the general secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.

Thousands of dignitaries and citizens from all walks of life are scheduled to attend the event, for which preparations are under way.On January 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to attend the Ram Temple’s consecration ceremony.

Formal pre-Praan Pratishtha sacrament processes will begin on January 16 and last until January 21.

For the Indian people, Ayodhya—the birthplace of Lord Ram—has enormous spiritual, historical, and cultural importance.
