On the day of the Ram Temple Consecration, VIPs should stay away from Ayodhya, according to a trustworthy source

The Ram temple trust said on Wednesday that visitors with VIP status should avoid traveling to Ayodhya on January 22, when the Ram temple will be dedicated. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend.

Champat Rai, secretary of the Shri Ram Ramjanmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, advised individuals enjoying protocol, such as chief ministers, governors, and ambassadors, to avoid scheduling any visits to the temple town on the day in order to prevent any disruptions to the celebration. The huge Ram temple’s consecration event is anticipated to draw a sizable crowd.

On January 22, “we won’t be able to serve them, and I believe the local administration won’t be able to care for them either,” he stated. People from every state in the nation would visit Ayodhya from January 26 to February 22 of next year, according to him, after the consecration ceremony.

He advised the chief minister and other state officials to schedule their trip to the temple town for when their state’s citizens visit the temple. “We will provide food and lodging for visitors to Ayodhya, but the facility will not be like that of a hotel,” he stated. He said, “We will give better food than that.” Lord Ram had eaten tubers while he was in exile. As part of the preparations for the consecration event, Rai said that Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) leaders from every province had been invited to Ayodhya on November 5.

The event is anticipated to draw Prime Minister Modi. Rai said that the trust has raised the pay for priests and other temple staff members.

The salary increases for top priests, lesser priests, and other employees including storekeepers, managers, and gardeners range from 35 to 40 percent. Additionally, the trust will pay for their housing, medical expenses, and weekly vacations.

The employees will also get gratuities and perks from the provident fund. Acharya Satyendra Das, the main priest of the Ram temple, told PTI that the trust made a wise decision.

The top priest’s monthly pay went from Rs 25,000 to Rs 32,900 as a result of the raise. Assistant priests who previously received Rs 20,000 per month won’t get Rs 31,000 instead. The trust had already raised the pay of its workers in May.
