Ram Navami 2024: The Chief of Police in Uttar Pradesh Gives Instructions To Officers, Asks Them To Stay Alert

In all of the state’s districts, Uttar Pradesh’s Director General of Police (DGP), Prashant Kumar, has given his officers strong instructions, requesting that they observe vigilance on the occasion of Ram Navami festivities.

An official release claims that the head of the UP Police has issued directives asking personnel to make sure that the Ayodhya Ram Mandir and other sites of worship in every district of the state have impenetrable security measures in place.

DGP Kumar has issued a number of directions emphasizing that police officers make sure that the state is peaceful and orderly on Ram Navami and that any efforts to cause unpleasant occurrences be rebuffed.

The state’s police chief has also issued directives guaranteeing that a sufficient number of police officers are present during Ram Navami processions, including at all of the state’s temples and ghats. Officers have been requested to set up boats so that workers may staff the ghats for this reason.

Officers have been told to put up enough police protection at all famous temples in anticipation of the enormous numbers of devotees that are anticipated to swarm these sites of worship. A police official said, “Senior officers have been asked to stay present and personally monitor the arrangement.”

He stated that there would be extra social media surveillance during Ram Navami and that the DGP has given orders to remove offensive content and false information right away.

The spokesperson said that officers in all UP districts have been ordered to cooperate with the media cell set up at the DGP headquarters, and that the state police chief has also given directions about traffic arrangements at holy sites during the auspicious event.

The police have also been given orders by the DGP to keep an eye on anyone who seems suspicious and to take appropriate measures if needed.

In the meantime, since the temple administration anticipates a large number of devotees during Ram Navami, the Ayodhya Ram Temple on Monday canceled all VIP permits for three days, ending on April 18. Given that this is the first Ram Navami after the temple’s consecration ceremony, a senior member of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra said that there is a chance that a large number of devotees may attend on the day.
