UP: 17-Year-Old Girl Abducted, Raped for More Than Three Months

According to authorities, a 17-year-old girl was abducted from this location and raped for more than three months before being brought to Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, and Baroda, Gujarat.

Ajit Ram (21), a member of the same village, lured the girl from her home on May 29 before taking her hostage, according to the Nagra police station.

According to SHO Atul Kumar Mishra, a case was filed against Ajit Ram under sections 363 (kidnapping) and 366 (kidnapping, abducting, or enticing a lady to force her marriage) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) in response to the girl’s mother’s complaint.

On Monday, the girl was released by the police from a village. The girl told the police that the suspect abducted her, drove her to Baroda and Bhopal, where he raped her for three and a half months.

The police have added section 376 (rape) of the IPC and the relevant part of the POCSO Act to the case based on the girl’s testimony.

The SHO said that on Tuesday, the accused was taken into custody by police in the vicinity of the police station’s Narhi Canal Pulia.
