Yogi government eliminates head of the UP Police Recruitment Board in case of paper leak

Case of paper leak: The Uttar Pradesh government dismissed Renuka Mishra as head of the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board on Tuesday after claims that the question paper for a recruitment test for constables had been leaked.

Rajeev Krishna, an IPS officer, has taken over for Mishra. Mishra was removed from her position and placed on the “wait list” after Director Vigilance Krishna took on more board responsibilities.

Days have passed since the UP police constable recruitment test was canceled due to rumours of a question paper leak. In Uttar Pradesh, an examination for over 60,000 policeman recruitment vacancies was conducted on February 17 and 18, with over 48 lakh hopefuls taking part. Within six months, there will be another inspection.

Additionally, the government said that the claims would be investigated by a Special Task Force (STF).

A case involving many arrests for document leaks
A number of individuals were taken into custody by the Etawah Police, STF Unit Gorakhpur, and SOG Surveillance Cell in relation to the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment Paper Leak case. They included a number of goods that were found, including computers, cell phones, blank checks, admission cards, and mark sheets for applicants. Neeraj Yadav, a Ballia native and former employee of the Merchant Navy, was also detained previously in the same case. Yadav got the solution key from someone in Mathura. This is an ongoing investigation by the STF.

The Uttar Pradesh Recruitment and Promotion Board’s written test, which was held on February 17 and 18, had question papers leaked by a group. The gang also commits fraud at the Staff Selection Commission, Delhi’s online test used to hire constables for the Central Armed Police Forces.

The accused informed police during questioning that in 2008–09, when he was studying for competitive exams in Shahpur town, a person from Ghaziabad’s Rajnagar extension would visit. This individual was part of a group that rigged exams by stealing money.

Regarding the document leak, what did CM Yogi say?
Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister, has earlier said that there will be no concessions made regarding the candidates’ lifestyles. Within the next six months, he directed authorities to hold the police constable recruiting examinations once again. He emphasized that any anomalies in the hiring procedure would be considered injustices against young people.

CM Yogi emphasized that any injustice against the young is a national crime, characterizing this as such. He promised stern action against those who were jeopardizing the youths’ lives and prospects. The administration is determined to prosecute anyone found responsible for anomalies in the examination process with severe consequences.
