Staff at Thane Pet Clinic Arrested After Punching and Kicking Dog in Viral Video

After a video of two individuals hitting and kicking a dog at a Thane, Maharashtra veterinary clinic went viral, the individuals were taken into custody. Regarding the occurrence, a police report was filed on February 13. Vetic Pet Clinic, situated in Thane’s R Mall, is where the event happened. Pet grooming and treatment are the clinic’s areas of expertise.

An employee of the pet clinic is seen repeatedly striking the Chow Chow dog in the face and back in the footage. As the dog resisted, a guy who was photographing the event was also seen beating it. Then, while the guy carried on kicking the dog, it was seen climbing off the stretcher and exiting the room.

Several Bollywood stars have been among the many individuals who have voiced their indignation over the viral video. Images of both of these miscreants being taken into custody by Thane police have recently appeared on the internet. The identities of the two people who were taken into custody are yet unknown. The cops shut down the pet clinic in the meantime.

This is a really unsettling situation that included two of our groomers and a cat. For us, as animal lovers and pet owners, this is startling and totally wrong. We fired both of them right away and opened a formal inquiry as a starting step. According to a Vetic Pet Clinic, Thane representative, “We are also working alongside the authorities and have initiated police action in this matter” (FPJ).

After the video went popular on social media, Nilesh Bhange, an office-bearer of the animal rights organization PAWS, and a few other individuals submitted a non-cognizable complaint, an official told the news agency PTI. According to sources, police cannot investigate a non-cognizable allegation without a magistrate’s order.

Subsequently, a video of the dog was posted to the Instagram page of Street Dogs of Bombay, which describes itself as “Being the Voice for All Animals.” It was also said in the post that the accused had been placed under arrest.

According to Street Dogs of Bombay, the three-year-old dog, Tofu, is in stable health right now. The organization also thanked the public and police for responding to the situation so quickly.

The event happened earlier in February, according to the Free Press Journal, when the pet parent went to celebrate their wedding and left the dog at the clinic in Thane. It turned out that their acceptance of the center’s boarding services was improbable.
