According to sources, Khawaja, who has worked for 20 years at the London Marylebone station, changed her middle name from Ismat to Marylebone.

The sources state that Khawaja has often been stationed in Marylebone throughout her 20 years with Chiltern Railways. She has worked as a train dispatcher and station manager, among other roles. She now works throughout the network as the operator’s manager of security and safety, although she often returns to Marylebone, according to the Boreham Wood Times.

“The station itself is not big, but it’s got a soul,” she said to the Boreham Wood Times. Throughout my stay here, the more I got to know it, the more I fell in love with it. To me, it really does seem like a home away from home. We are aware that delays might occur and that things can go wrong sometimes. However, everyone there smiles while working so hard.

She went on, “It has a personal touch.” It is hospitable and cozy. Not all stations in London are the same. I adore the station’s history, the facility, and the people that work there. I had a sense of flight when I took over as manager of the station. That’s how I still feel when I visit there today. It’s such a significant aspect of my life, and it excites me to finally be carrying it with me formally.

As Khawaja changed her name, Vanessa Russell, the HR director for the railroads, was astounded. “I think it’s a testament to the importance of the station and the feel the community has,” Russell said to the Boreham Wood Times. Marylebone is a little yet powerful station in relation to other London stations. The station has a long history, and I’m moved by how much of an actual influence it has had on Rehana’s life.
