US Waitress Asks Couple About Splitting Bills and Receives Angry Note Instead of Tip

A server in the US has described how a patron withheld a gratuity as a result of her impolite behavior. On the receipt, the spouse provided a justification for his decision not to tip. The waiter had asked whether he and his wife wanted to share the $102 bill, which had made him angry. The husband’s message was published in the New York Post, which quoted it as saying, “No tip because it was very rude to ask my wife and I if we wanted separate checks???”

The waitress was perplexed by the way the message was written. According to accounts, the male looks to be in his mid-50s to 60s, while his wife appears to be much younger.
