In Bihar’s Bhojpur, 5 people pass away from the heat

Officials said on Monday that five individuals in the Bhojpur district of Bihar passed away from heat stroke. According to a statement from the Disaster Management Department, the post-mortem investigation of the corpses revealed heat stroke as the cause of death.

It said that “two additional deaths have occurred in specific areas of the district, but their post-mortem examination reports are pending.” On Monday, temperatures in the state exceeded 43 degrees Celsius in various locations, with Aurangabad recorded the highest maximum temperature of 44.7 degrees Celsius.

Additionally, the DMD has requested that districts all around the state report any deaths that may have occurred as a result of the extreme heat.

“A sweltering heat wave is presently gripping the whole state. The DMD is keeping an eye on the issue. Shahnawaz Alam, the minister responsible for disaster management in Bihar, stated, “We have also asked the authorities to keep an eye on the situation in their respective areas.
