Nawada powerful guy marries

Patna: Late on Tuesday night, the sexagenarian strongman Ashok Mahto, a convicted lawbreaker from Nawada district, tied the knot with 46-year-old Kumari Anita, a Lakhisarai resident who had moved to Delhi, following his social media notice urging friends and well-wishers to search for “an ideal bride.”.
Mahto is requesting an RJD ticket for a family member to challenge JD (U) heavyweight Rajiv Ranjan, well known as Lalan Singh, from the Munger Lok Sabha constituency.

His wife would face baptism by fire if she challenged the poll. Mahto is unable to fight since he was freed from prison last year after serving 17 years in prison for a 2001 Nawada jailbreak case. It is against the law for prisoners serving more than two years in prison to run for office again until six years following their release. Mahto has been doing road shows in Munger, where he has allegedly told people that RJD has guaranteed him a ticket. The party disputes this assertion.
Mahto had a small, intimate wedding with just a few close friends and family members present. Mahto and Anita went to the official house of the former chief minister Rabri Devi in Patna on Wednesday morning in order to ask RJD leader Lalu Prasad for “blessings.”
Mahto said that nothing had been decided when reporters inquired whether he would run his wife for a Lok Sabha seat. Mahto said that Lalu had not offered him any “assurance” on his wife’s party ticket.
RJD said that Mahto had just paid him a courtesy call after his marriage. “The idea of fielding Mahto’s wife in any Lok Sabha seat was not explored. According to Bihar RJD spokesman Chitranjan Gagan, the Grand Alliance seat-sharing agreement has not yet been formalised,, as informed by by TOI.
