Ambuja Cements of the Adani Group will establish a 4 MTPA grinding facility in Jharkhand

Ambuja Cements, a division of the Adani Group, plans to establish a 4 million tonne per year (MTPA) grinding facility in Jharkhand, requiring an investment of Rs 1,000 crore.

According to the company’s exchange filings on Wednesday, the project is planned in close proximity to Adani Power (Jharkhand) Limited as part of the company’s strategy to ecologically safe fly ash disposal and tap circularity.

More than 2,500 people will find direct or indirect work as a result of the unit, greatly advancing the state’s social and economic development. With a combined capacity of 6 MTPA, Ambuja Cements currently runs two cement mills in Jharkhand.

According to the corporation, the planned expansion shows how confident it is in the growth and development potential of the area. According to Ajay Kapur, CEO of Cement Business, Jharkhand has enormous potential in terms of infrastructure, trained labor, and resources.

“We aim to achieve a significant milestone in our commitment to expanding our presence and contributing to the socio-economic development of the region with our proposed investment in this new cement grinding unit.”
