IoTechWorld accepts an order from IFFCO to provide 500 agricultural drones

IoTechWorld Avigation, an agri-drone manufacturer, said on Monday that it has signed a significant agreement with cooperative fertiliser giant IFFCO for the provision of 500 drones. These drones will largely be used for spraying nano liquid urea and DAP.

2,500 drones will be purchased by Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) to spray its nanourea and nano DAP (Diammonium Phosphate) products.

In addition, IFFCO intends to educate 5,000 rural businesses in drone spraying.

Anoop Upadhyay, a co-founder of the business, said in a statement that “the company will deliver 500 drones to IFFCO by December 2023.”

The first DGCA-type approved drone in India, the “AGRIBOT,” is made by IoTechWorld, which has its headquarters in Gurugram. The business also has the support of the agrochemical company Dhanuka Agritech Ltd.

“The AGRIBOT (krishi drone) was created and programmed specifically for fertilizers. The order from IFFCO is proof of our dominance in the agri-drone market, according to Deepak Bhardwaj, another co-founder of the business.

Drone use improves agricultural output while also saving time and money. Additionally, he said, using drones for agricultural tasks like spraying pesticides on crops offers health advantages for farmers.

Bhardwaj said that the drone industry is expanding quickly and that there has been a huge demand from a variety of businesses, including pesticide and fertilizer manufacturers as well as rural business owners like farmers.

In addition to IFFCO, IoTechWorld Avigation has collaborated with the agricultural giant Syngenta and has completed a 17,000 km drone yatra throughout the nation.

This fiscal year, the business plans to sell more than 3,000 drones, and it is also looking into export possibilities to places like the SAARC, South East Asia, Latin America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.

According to him, the business, together with its partners, is also emphasizing the development of village-level entrepreneurs and aiding in the establishment of remote pilot training organizations around the nation.
