Mahindra Auto had an 18% increase in sales of SUVs in India in April, with 41,008 sold

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) said on Thursday that it sold 41,008 SUVs in the domestic market in April, representing an 18% (year-over-year) increase over 34,694 SUVs sold in the same month last year.

In the utility vehicle area, the business reported selling 41,542 passenger cars, including both domestic and export sales.

With exports included, the SUV manufacturer’s total car sales for April were 70,471, up 13% from the previous year.

“In April, we sold 41,008 SUVs, up 18%, and 70,471 total vehicles, up 13% from the previous year,” M&M Ltd. President of the Automotive Division Veejay Nakra said in a statement.

“We introduced the XUV 3XO in April, designed to appeal to a wide range of consumers in several sectors. “The XUV 3XO is poised to become the next big disruptor in the compact SUV market with its innovative design, safety features, comfort, performance, and affordable starting price of Rs 7.49 lakh,” the speaker said.

According to the corporation, 22,102 commercial cars were sold domestically.
