MD said Bajaj Auto is developing a CNG motorcycle

Pune: According to managing director Rajiv Bajaj, Bajaj Auto is creating a line of clean-fuel CNG bikes, the first of which will be on sale in June. He made this announcement on Friday. He announced the Bajaj Group’s commitment of Rs 5,000 crore towards corporate social responsibility to be invested over the next five years. The bike would operate on compressed natural gas and go on sale in June.
It is anticipated that the new bike will debut under a different name and cater to customers who are concerned about mileage.

In addition to having a specific tank that offers users the convenience of both petrol and CNG fuel alternatives, it is anticipated that CNG motorcycles will cost more than their petrol counterparts owing to the increased production costs. Additionally, Bajaj said that the Pulsar, which was introduced 20 years ago, would shortly reach two million units.
An emphasis on skill development is part of the Rs 5,000 crore that the group has committed to social impact activities over a five-year period. ‘Bajaj Beyond’ is the group’s new moniker for all of its CSR and humanitarian programmes.
More than two crore young people will profit from this and be able to seize the job and business possibilities presented by India’s expanding economy. “The commercial and charitable endeavours of the Bajaj family are intricately linked to their sense of social duty. The Bajaj Group has donated about Rs 4,000 crore to CSR projects over the last ten years, with the majority of the funds going towards livelihood, water conservation, skill development and education, health, and other development-related sectors, according to Bajaj Auto chairman Niraj Bajaj.
