Yamaha R7 and R3 Seen in Chennai’s MMRT; Is a Launch in the Works?

The Japanese two-wheeler maker Yamaha is ready to make a big return in India with 689cc and 321cc motorcycles after a protracted absence from the mid-capacity sports motorbike market. The company’s feature-packed R7 and R3 sports motorcycles were recently seen on video at the Madras Motor Race Track (MMRT) in Chennai, indicating they may soon be available in India.

These motorcycles reportedly had a TV commercial shoot planned for them. However, the company hasn’t yet made any relevant information public or shared it. Yamaha has previously shown off some of its greatest bike collections in a dealer-only event. Numerous bikes, including the R7, R3, upgraded R15, and MT-15, were present at the event.

Honda R7 Launch

If the motorbike is released, clients will be able to view it with the 689cc engine option, which will have a maximum output of 72 BHP and 63 Nm of peak torque. The device will come bundled with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The bike is anticipated to include dual-channel ABS, two 298mm front and rear discs, USD front forks, a mono-shock in the back, a 14L fuel tank, and other features.

The sports bike will face competition from the Kawasaki Ninja 650 and the Honda CBR650R whenever it enters the Indian market.

Yamaha R3 Release

A 321cc, liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine with a maximum output of 42 BHP and a peak torque of 29.5 Nm is anticipated to power this one. Once again, the displacement will come as standard with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Yamaha R3 Specifications

According to rumors, the R3 might have a diamond frame chassis with front forks measuring 37mm USD and 130mm in length. Customers may also anticipate dual-channel ABS, a digital cluster, and a 14L fuel tank among moms in addition to these features.
