Anjum Batra of Amar Singh Chamkila is going to meet the family of Kesar Tikki in real life

Since the movie’s premiere, Imtiaz Ali’s Amar Singh Chamkila has received positive reviews from all across the world. The audience has come to love the tribute paid to the late, great Punjabi singer. For his part as dholak player Kesar Singh Tikki, Anjum Batra is also receiving high praise. The actor now intends to go to Ludhiana to meet Tikki’s true family.

January of this year marked Kesar Singh Tikki’s passing.Before the movie’s premiere, Anjum talked with the late artist’s children and grandson, who expressed their happiness with the actor portraying their father. “I chatted with Tikki Ji’s wife after the movie came out, and she was very emotional. She said that it seemed as if her spouse was back on television. “She extended an invitation for me to pay them a visit at their Ludhiana residence,” Anjum reveals, revealing Imtiaz Ali with Anjum Batra.

The actor will be visiting Tikki’s family the first week of May, but he is now preoccupied with the love and attention he has been getting as well as his media tours. “Since Tikki ji departed this year, I would want to honor him. And his family extended such a warm invitation to me that I wish to repay the favor. I thus want to visit them very soon. After doing that, I’ll feel great,” he says.
