Cardi B Hints at Her Highly Anticipated Second Album on the Anniversary of the Invasion of Privacy

The Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B gave fans a tantalizing peek at her much anticipated second album while simultaneously honoring the sixth anniversary of her trailblazing first album, Invasion of Privacy, with a touching social media message.

Released in 2018, Invasion of Privacy not only rocketed to the top of the Billboard 200 album list but also won the 2019 Grammy Award for Best Rap Album.

Bodak Yellow and I Like It, two of the album’s best songs, both debuted at number one on the Hot 100.

Cardi B thanked X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday and hinted at her next project while discussing the tremendous success of her first album. “6 years ago, I released my first album and it broke so many records! GAH LEE!!” she said.

“6 years later, I’m preparing to drop the next one this year. It’s so different from what everyone is expecting and I’m so excited,” she said.

Cardi B has been releasing teases of her new song to fans despite her hectic schedule. Her most recent song, Enough (Miami), which came with an eye-catching music video, was well-received when it was released on March 15.
This came barely two weeks after her freestyle song, Like What, was released.

Cardi B has also contributed her dynamic energy to collaborations; she can be heard on Punteria, the first song on Shakira’s most recent album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, which was released on March 22.

Although Cardi B has not yet revealed the official release date for her second album, the mysterious teases she has released have surely increased fan interest in her next album.
