Ektaa R Kapoor claims she dislikes sticking to certain film genres

Ektaa R. Kapoor, who has created some of India’s most well-known television programs and motion pictures, stated she doesn’t want to keep to any certain genre in films since she has television for that. She is now waiting for the release of her forthcoming movie, “Dream Girl 2.”

Ektaa is prepared to enthrall the audience with a wide variety of tales, providing a welcome diversion. A big-budget comedy called “Dream Girl 2” aims to make viewers laugh out loud and provide a welcome break from the everyday.

Ektaa remarked, when asked about experimenting with other film genres: “I’m shooting a film with Rhea Kapoor, which is a coming-of-age narrative of a female in her early thirties who is battling conditioning vs originality. Bhumi Pednekar plays the lead. The thriller with Hansal Mehta and Kareena has no official name. ‘LSD 2’, one of my favorite series, is returning. Three distinguished actresses star in the comedy “The Crew.”

She said, “‘Dream Girl 2’ is a big-budget comedy. In movies, I dislike staying inside certain genres. On television, I have to do a lot of it. This allows me to take a break from creating the same kind of articles.

Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kriti Sanon, and Tabu play the key characters in “The Crew.” Three women’s stories are followed throughout the movie as they hustle and strive hard to advance in life. However, when they attempt to go ahead, their fates bring them into some unexpected and unwanted circumstances, trapping them in a web of falsehoods.

Following the success of their last film, “Veere Di Wedding,” Ektaa R. Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor collaborate on this movie.

Produced by Balaji Telefilms and Anil Kapoor Films Communication Network, “The Crew” is directed by Rajesh Krishnan. The movie will screen for the first time on March 22, 2023.
