Exclusive: Surbhi Chandna discusses what sustained her 13-year marriage to Karan Sharma. I have been faithful to my partner and followed through on our agreement

On March 2, Surbhi Chandna and Karan Sharma tied the knot in a lavish Jaipur ceremony, bringing an end to a nearly 13-year romance. Within a month of being married, Surbhi spoke out about their long-lasting bond. The Ishqbaaz actress shared in an exclusive interview with ETimes TV what made their romance last 13 years and how they overcame obstacles to be together.

Regarding her 13-year romance, she said, “I wasn’t an actor; we were studying when I met Karan or I would when we met each other. He was pursuing an MBA in London at the same time as me. He would drive me to the trials. He has always been by my side. He has been with me every step of the way, from my time waiting for Ishqbaaz to my success and the subsequent switch to OTT. Doon kaise jaane doon toh Aise insaan ko. I have remained devoted to my partnership. I’ve lived up to the promise.”
The actress said that she always understood where to draw the line and that he was the right man for her. She has been in a number of popular dramas, including Qubool Hai, Ishabaaz, Naagin, and Sherdil Shergill. Working on set, having fun, pulling practical jokes on your co-stars, spending 12 to 14 hours a day with them, and developing a close bond are all positive aspects of the job; the trick is to know when to stop flirting. We live in this day and age and we are all buddies, but you know when to draw the line. For me, it has always been him, and it always will be him in the future.”
“Hum sabko Yehi bolte hain Humari gaadi chal rahi hai… this is our constant line,” Surbhi said in closing. I used to say the same thing even while we were dating. I always replied, “Gaadi chal rahi hai,” to anybody who asked me whether I was Karan. Kahan pahucha degi aur chalte chalte dekho.
The couple added a touch of opulence to their little wedding ceremony by tying the knot at Jaipur’s renowned Chomu Palace in front of their close friends and family.
