In Chandu Champion, Kartik Aaryan will portray soldier and Paralympic gold medallist Murlikant Petkar

Kartik Aaryan has become a well-known actor in recent times because to his many commercial and content-driven roles. He is now anticipating the release of his highly awaited movie, Chandu Champion, which is helmed by Kabir Khan. On June 14, this movie will be shown on enormous screens.

Chandu Champion is based on the life of India’s first gold medallist at the Paralympic Games, Murlikant Petkar. Murlikant, according to IANS, competed in the 1972 Summer Paralympics in Heidelberg, Germany, and won a gold medal individually. In the 50-meter freestyle swimming event, he also established a world record with a time of 37.33 seconds.

Within the Indian Army’s Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME), Murlikant Petkar had the rank of artisan jawan. He was shot many times in the 1965 war against Pakistan. These wounds cost him an arm, therefore he decided to pursue a career in swimming. In addition to swimming, Murlikant was considering competing in other sports at the 1972 Paralympics, such as shotput, table tennis, slalom, and javelin throw. He even proceeded to win the first round of the 1968 Summer Paralympics in table tennis. At the Edinburgh, Scotland-hosted Third Commonwealth Paraplegic Games, he took home silver in the javelin throw and bronze in the shotput. In 2018, the government bestowed upon him the Padma Shri for his many accomplishments.

In the movie, Kartik Aaryan will portray Murlikant. The ensemble cast of Chandu Champion includes Manoj Anand, Katrina Kaif, Shraddha Kapoor, and others. The movie has the support of Kabir Khan Films, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, and Star Studios.

In addition to Chandu Champion, Kartik will be the main actor in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The movie, which is helmed by Anees Bazmee, is scheduled to hit theaters on November 12. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will also include Sara Ali Khan, Rajpal Yadav, Boman Irani, and other actors. The movie’s storyline hasn’t been revealed yet. In addition to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Kartik is starring in Anurag Basu’s Aashiqui 3. Triptii Dimri is reportedly set to portray the major female role.
