Kangana Ranaut on the Himachal Pradesh rain: “My heart goes out to mountain people”

Actress Kangana Ranaut spoke out against the dire circumstances in Himachal Pradesh, offering her sympathies and claiming that the “system has broken” since the state has “no water or electricity.”

She said on her Instagram stories that “people in Himachal Pradesh are suffering a terrible calamity and there is no end to severe rain and flooding, mountains are tumbling and crumbling everywhere, and there has been no power or water for days… I regularly pray for the well-being of the mountain people because I feel such compassion for them.

 

 

The devastation is a very personal and emotional matter for the Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi actor since she is herself a Himachal Pradesh native from the town of Surajpur in the Mandi city region.

 

Over 70 people have died as a result of the state’s recent very high rains and severe floods, which have destroyed infrastructure and killed many people.

 

When the state first started to experience the worst effects of the rain in July, Kangana warned netizens against traveling to the region, which is a well-known tourism attraction.

 

Kangana’s most recent appearance was in the movie Tiku Weds Sheru, and her next projects include Emergency, Tejas, and Chandramukhi 2.
