Kelly Ripa discusses her first indulgence, the unusual present she gave her mother

The well-known actress and anchor of “Live With Kelly and Mark,” Kelly Ripa, recently shared an unusual purchase she made with her first paycheck. During an open discussion on her podcast, “Let’s Talk Off Camera,” Ripa said that she gave her 82-year-old mother an unusual present: a white upright piano.

Even while expensive presents like jewels or a property are usually quite appealing, Ripa decided to do something different and surprised her mother with a musical instrument.Nevertheless, after years of trying to become skilled, Ripa said that neither she nor her mother are good pianists.

Looking back on her early years, Ripa said that her mother had not played the piano that her grandmother had. Sadly, the piano was taken out of the house during a redecoration after her grandmother passed away, creating a gap in the family’s living space. In an effort to close this disparity, Ripa purchased an upright piano with white lacquer, which is unusual given the brand and color of the piano.

Talking about being named one of Time magazine’s most important people for 2024, Ripa and her husband Mark Consuelos attended the Time 100 event. Recognized for her diverse career that includes a well-received podcast and a bestselling biography, Ripa never fails to wow audiences with her charm and genuineness.

Kelly Ripa has a long list of noteworthy feature film roles under her belt. Notably, she costarred alongside acting giants Leonardo DiCaprio and Meryl Streep in the critically praised 1996 film “Marvin’s Room.”

Ripa values her roles as a wife and mother more than her career accomplishments. Michael, Lola, and Joaquin are the couple’s three children. They were married to actor Mark Consuelos in 1996. Audiences are moved by their long relationship and dedication to family values, which are a reflection of Ripa’s childhood and her parents’ influence.

Ripa has maintained her groundedness throughout her career, attributing her upbringing and parents’ encouragement to her creative pursuits.
