On V-Day, we all viewed our old videos together, recalls Ashok Selvan

Yesterday was Ashok Selvan and Keerthi Pandian’s first Valentine’s Day spent together after getting married. The pair speaks to us about their special day, their relationship, and what Chennai means to them.

Regarding their Valentine’s Day festivities:

Keerthi: We celebrated our first Valentine’s Day together after our marriage. On Valentine’s Day, we typically take a lengthy drive on Chennai’s highways, but this year, we just remained home and switched off our phones. All I wanted to do was unwind. When we are spending time together, we like turning off the outside world. Ashok: We both spent time together on Valentine’s Day, viewing our old films and sharing our most treasured memories. I returned home and ate what my wife had made after I had my own shot.
Regarding Chennai’s part in their partnership

Ashok: I believe that meeting Keerthi in Chennai allowed us both the freedom to be who we are. There’s something about the city that makes people want to be true to themselves. Chennai gave us the freedom to be ourselves. We’re both major movie enthusiasts, and we usually wear masks and hats to the cinema. For me, Chennai has always been a really lovely city that is radicalism-free and friendly. There are a lot of good individuals living in this peaceful, welcoming city.
Keerthi: Given our relationship, I think Chennai simply lets us be; it’s a secure place for couples to be together without any constraints.
