The Chhattisgarh government deems “Article 370” to be tax-free

Raipur, On Friday, the Chhattisgarh BJP administration proclaimed the Bollywood blockbuster “Article 370” to be tax-free inside the state. After seeing the movie at an evening mall here, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai announced that it was tax-exempt. The movie revolves around the repeal of Article 370 of the Indian Constitution, which granted Jammu and Kashmir a unique status.

The BJP administration in Madhya Pradesh, a neighboring state, had chosen to grant the movie tax exemption the day before. According to a statement released by the state public relations department, Sai was joined by his wife, Kaushalya Devi Sai, and cabinet colleagues, Ramvichar Netam and Kedar Kashyap. On February 23, Aditya Suhas Jambhale, the film’s director, and Yami Gautam, the movie’s star, launched it. “The situation in Kashmir has been depicted very well in the film, and it tells us how, due to Article 370, Kashmir was lagging behind in development and how hard our leaders had to work to eliminate the provision,” the chief minister was quoted as saying in the release. “One nation, one constitution, and one emblem are crucial to our worldview. In Jammu and Kashmir, Article 370 ran counter to this fundamental philosophy. Since our independence, our authorities have vehemently fought it,” Sai said. “We had decided to do away with Article 370. The resolution was accomplished under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s direction. Kashmir is now heading toward peace,” he said.
