Rumors have been circulating lately about the casting of American-born Indonesian actress Chelsea Islan. One fan question that has come up is: Who is Chelsea Islan?

Chelsea Islan was born to an American father and an Indonesian mother in Queens, New York. She moved to Indonesia to further her studies. She debuted in the 2013 film Refrain with Maudy Ayunda and Afgansyah Reza. However, Tetangga Masa Gitu, a well-liked comedy that ran from 2014 to 2017, is credited with making her famous. 2020 saw the release of her most recent movie, May the Devil Take You Too. The actress has so far made appearances in programs and movies in Indonesia.

Later, she became well-known thanks to her roles in the action movie Street Society and the biographical picture Merry Riana: Mimpi Sejuta Dolar. The actress will soon be seen in the forthcoming movies Sebelum Iblis Menjemput Ayat 3: Dajjal and Godam & Tira.

In addition to her work in acting, Chelsea has been in several commercials for Matahari Department Store, L’Oreal, Garnier, Tokopedia, Pizza Hut, Oppo, Magnum, and Rexona.

The crew of filmmaker SS Rajamouli refuted recent rumors circulating in the Tollywood industry about Chelsea Islan’s possible participation in their forthcoming production, which is provisionally named SSMB 29. The film’s production team has made it clear that there is no truth to the widespread rumors that Chelsea Islan would be joining the star-studded ensemble, especially after she started following Rajamouli on Instagram.

Concerning SSMB29

Mahesh Babu will appear in director Rajamouli’s next film, which he likened to vintage Hollywood productions like Indiana Jones and James Bond. “Our next project will be an action-packed adventure with an international setting and Indian flavors,” he said. The movie is now in pre-production and is expected to begin production in April or May of this year. Mahesh is apparently going through physical training to be ready for his part.
