V from BTS works with a NewJeans producer on his first solo album; more inside

BTS member V, nicknamed Kim Taehyung, has the opportunity to flourish independently after Jungkook. The K-pop star is collaborating with renowned South Korean art designer Min Hee-Jin on his first album, according to the management company for the artist, Big Hit Music. The latter is the general producer of the girl group NewJeans and is now the CEO of Hybe’s subsidiary agency ADOR. According to a formal statement released by Big Hit Music on Wednesday, August 2, Min Hee-Jin was first asked for the cooperation last year but originally showed some reluctance to accept it. Min Hee-Jin chooses to join despite having a busy schedule after allegedly seeing V’s attitude, zeal, and voice tone.

The producer of NewJeans made jokes about composing music that accurately represents V’s tastes. “Instead of focusing on a well-known style, we chose to compose music that we like and that is technically sound.
