Why Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh withheld their wedding video from the public for five years is revealed by a filmmaker: “Nazar na lage”

With their approaching motherhood, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, who are excitedly awaiting the birth of their first child, are bringing happiness to many. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh enjoyed their dream wedding in Italy more than five years ago. Like many famous couples, the pair shared very few pictures from their wedding day, but they kept their wedding video secret until their appearance on Koffee with Karan in 2023.

But when they eventually released a sneak peek at their nuptials set to the melancholic song “Ik Onkar,” their admirers were driven to tears by this poignant look into their married life.
The gifted filmmaker who documented their wedding, Vishal Punjabi, said on the All About Eve podcast that he had accepted the potential that Ranveer and Deepika would never share their wedding film. He acknowledged the feeling and sympathetically offered insights into the concept some people have about warding off the evil eye. You won’t believe that Deepika and Ranveer kept it a secret for five years. I didn’t think it would ever be viewed,” he said.

“I suppose sometimes there are some things that are so beautiful, you don’t want to share them with the world,” he said. As mothers would say, “Nazar na lage,” and I understand that feeling. Vishal brought attention to the widespread poisoning of the internet, which often discourages celebrities from sharing personal photos from their important events.
The personal element of such large-scale celebrations was highlighted by Vishal, who has caught the soul of many star-studded weddings, including those of Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli, Kiara Advani, and Sidharth Malhotra. He clarified that many couples want a relaxed environment for their wedding, even with all of the sparkle and glamour that comes with being a celebrity. Since hair, cosmetics, and clothing already take up a large portion of their everyday lives, they want to have a small wedding ceremony with just their closest loved ones.

Vishal Punjabi remarked on the personal and emotional quality of both Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s wedding and Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s. He emphasised the importance of spending their special day with those they engage with on a daily basis by pointing out that these couples made the decision to surround themselves with just their closest friends and family. Instead of throwing a huge party for hundreds of people, they decided to have a more intimate gathering and save the big parties for when they returned. Vishal also praised their exquisite taste and capacity for extravagance, which surely added to the grandeur of their weddings and produced really remarkable moments of beauty and elegance.

Vishal also said that Harshdeep Kaur gave a live performance of the backdrop music during Ranveer and Deepika’s wedding. But Vishal assembled a group of musicians and lyricists for the wedding video, so they could record the song independently and make sure it was in the teaser. Considering the stringent non-disclosure agreements negotiated before recording celebrity weddings, he handled this quietly.

Regarding her career, Deepika Padukone most recently starred in the movie “Fighter” with Hrithik Roshan. She will next be seen in “Singham Again,” where she will play Agni Shetty, a new character in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe. Among the stars in this star-studded project are Tiger Shroff, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Akshay Kumar. In addition, Deepika is getting ready for the exciting science fiction film “Kalki 2898 AD,” which stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani.

However, Ranveer Singh is looking forward to working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali on “Baiju Bawraa.” He has to be patient, however, since the filmmaker has revealed that Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, and Alia Bhatt will be in his next film. Ranveer has given his all to Farhan Akhtar’s “Don 3” in the meantime, and he will also be making a cameo in Rohit Shetty’s “Singham Again.”
