With her ‘Dream Girl 2’ co-star Ayushmann Khurrana, Ananya Panday discusses their 14-year age difference

In “Dream Girl 2,” Ananya Panday will star with Ayushmann Khurrana. Age differences have always existed in movies, the actress said when questioned about her 14-year age difference from Ayushmann at the recent premiere of the movie’s trailer.

Ayushmann is featured in the ‘Dream Girl 2’ teaser not only portraying Pooja but also dressing like her. He is seen having fun and duping several guys. Ananya is seen romancing Ayushmann’s masculine avatar.

According to a report by ETimes, the 24-year-old said, “I don’t believe this is today’s problem, when questioned about the 14-year age gap with Ayushmann, 38. The age gap has always been there. Viewers shouldn’t focus on their age while viewing the movie. It becomes an issue if they are fascinated with this aspect. It’s okay as long as the two performers are a good fit for their respective parts.

‘Dream Girl 2’ was initially scheduled to open in theaters in July. It was postponed till August 25, however. The film’s VFX work needed more time, the creators admitted. Co-producer of the movie Ektaa Kapoor said, “We are spending additional time to perfect the VFX work for the face since we want Ayushmann Khurrana’s character to appear beautiful as Pooja in Dream Girl 2. We want to make sure that everyone who watches the movie has the greatest experience possible. Because the VFX work for Dream Girl 2 is so important to the film, we want to make sure that we provide our fans a high-quality result.

The 2019 movie ‘Dream Girl’ starred Ayushmann as well as Nushratt Bharuccha, Annu Kapoor, Manjot Singh, Vijay Raaz, and Abhishek Banerjee. ‘Dream Girl 2’ is the follow-up to that movie. With a 200 crore international box office take, the movie became a success.
