A $15,000 reward is offered by the FBI for the missing Wisconsin kid

TWO RIVERS: A police chief said on Tuesday that the FBI has offered a reward of up to $15,000 in connection with the disappearance of a 3-year-old Wisconsin kid who went missing last week.

Elijah Vue was last seen on February 20 at a house in Two Rivers, where his mother allegedly transferred him to live with a guy who is now facing child negligence charges, according to the prosecution. Elijah has not been found despite many searches by the police and locals.
At a press conference on Tuesday, Two Rivers Police Chief Ben Meinnert said that the FBI had offered a reward of up to $15,000 for information that would lead to the boy’s whereabouts and eventual return, or to the arrest and conviction of those guilty for his abduction.

According to Meinnert, there is also a $1,000 Manitowoc County Crime Stoppers prize in addition to the FBI reward.
In relation to the boy’s disappearance, Elijah’s mother and the guy her kid was living with were officially charged with child negligence on Monday.

His mother, 31-year-old Wisconsin Dells resident Katrina Baur, was charged in Manitowoc County on two misdemeanor charges of resisting or obstructing an officer and one felony count of party to a crime involving child maltreatment. Her bail for $15,000 in cash was being held.

Jesse Vang, 39, of Two Rivers, the guy Elijah had been living with, was legally charged with one count of party-to-a-crime child maltreatment. His bail for $20,000 in cash was being held.

Preliminary hearings were scheduled on March 7 after Baur and Vang made their first court appearances on Monday afternoon, according to court documents.
Manitowoc County District Attorney Jacalyn LaBre said on Friday that Elijah had been ordered by Baur to live with Vang for disciplinary reasons and that at the time of Elijah’s disappearance, Baur was not in Two Rivers, which is around thirty miles (48 kilometers) southeast of Green Bay.

Because she wanted Vang to train her kid “to be a man,” Baur told police that she had left Elijah with him on February 12 and that she planned to pick him up on February 23, according to the criminal complaint.

On February 20, Vang phoned the police and reported Elijah missing. According to the complaint, he had taken a sleep that morning and had taken Elijah into the bedroom with him, but when he woke up three hours later, Elijah was vanished.
According to the complaint, Vang admitted to authorities that he was seeing Bauer and had been attempting to assist with her son’s inappropriate actions.
