A couple of Indian descent and their little daughter perished in a “suspicious” home fire in Canada

In Canada’s Ontario province, a fire destroyed the house of an Indian couple along with their teenage daughter. The event occurred on March 7, but it wasn’t until Friday that it was publicized due to the identification of the three family members’ corpses.

The family lived in the Brampton neighbourhood of Big Sky Way and Van Kirk Drive.

As soon as authorities arrived at the scene after a tip from a family neighbor, they were unable to determine the exact number of fatalities, according to news agency PTI.

But after the fire was extinguished, they discovered what seemed to be human bones.

The family was identified as Rajiv Warikoo, 51, his wife, Shilpa Kotha, 47, and their daughter, Mahek Warikoo, 16.

As per the reports in the local media, the police were unable to determine the cause of the fire and considered it’suspicious’.

Authorities claimed in a news statement that they were still looking into the three family members’ deaths and asked anyone with information to come forward.
