At the Memphis park party, eight people were shot; two of them were killed, according to the police

According to authorities, eight individuals were shot on Saturday night at a Memphis municipal park, including two males who were slain during an unapproved public party.

According to Memphis Police Department Chief Cerelyn Davis, at a press conference at the site, officers responded to a reported gunfire at 7:19 p.m. According to Davis, two guys were declared deceased at the site.

According to authorities, one of the six surviving victims was at Regional One Health in Memphis in serious condition after they were taken to other hospitals.

According to Davis, there were between 200 and 300 people at the Orange Mound Park block party when the shooting happened, but it didn’t seem like a municipal permission had been obtained.

According to Davis, police were reviewing the video as part of their continuing investigation into the incident, which is thought to have included at least two gunshots. Not one arrest was made right away.

Davis said, “We stand together to denounce these senseless acts of violence in light of recent events.”

In a social media post, the Memphis police updated their original report of 16 shots, stating that the mistake looked to have resulted from “several victims being reported multiple times.”
