Inaugural Quad Investment and Technology Dialogue is held at the White House

Discussions on investment possibilities in vital resources and cutting-edge technologies to advance greater prosperity and security in the Indo-Pacific Region took place at the first Quad Investment and Technology Dialogue, which was held here this week, the White House said on Wednesday.

Lael Brainard, the director of the National Economic Council, and Gina Raimondo, the secretary of commerce, were among the speakers at the White House meeting on Monday.

According to the statement, senior administration officials and more than 40 business leaders from the Quad nations who attended the event discussed ways to expand the availability of private financing for high-quality, cross-border investment between Australia, India, Japan, and the United States.

The gathering included senior officials from the Australian, Indian, and Japanese embassies. The White House released the following statement after the meeting: “At today’s Dialogue, public and private sector leaders discussed investment opportunities in critical resources and emerging technologies to promote greater prosperity and security in the Indo-Pacific Region.”

This May, at the Quad Leaders’ Summit in Hiroshima, the Quad Investors Network (QUIN) was established as a network of investors and executives from the four Quad nations looking to encourage joint investment in important and developing technology.
