Jim Jordan is approved by Trump to succeed Kevin Mccarthy as House Speaker

Former president Donald Trump is formally endorsing Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, the brash head of the House Judiciary Committee and ardent supporter of Trump, to succeed Kevin McCarthy as speaker of the House.

Just after midnight, Trump posted on his Truth Social website, “Congressman Jim Jordan has been a STAR long before making his very successful journey to Washington, D.C., representing Ohio’s 4th Congressional District.” He will make a GREAT Speaker of the House, and I fully support him.

The declaration followed Texas Representative Troy Nehls’ assertion on Thursday night that Trump had chosen to support Jordan’s campaign.
