Notes from the campus: BBK DAV Book Exhibition

Amritsar: “Explore Worlds in Words: A Book Exhibition to Inspire” was the theme of the one-day book exhibition held at the Mahatma Hansraj Library of the BBK DAV College for Women in Amritsar. Principal Pushpinder Walia gave the show its grand opening. It included well-known Amritsar publishers and booksellers exhibiting a wide range of books, from fiction to self-help, mythology, history, and competitive test preparation.

A sizable contingent of college teaching members and students from many departments enthusiastically visited the show. Pushpinder Walia, the principal, emphasized the value of these kinds of programs in encouraging kids to develop a reading habit in this digital age. She continued by saying that reading improves one’s creativity and aids in a deeper awareness of the outside world.

Parent orientation program

Parents attended four parent orientation workshops at Revel Dale Public School in Rangarh, Attari. During these sessions, Rajiv Arora, the head of the school, emphasized the need of kids to keep a good schedule at home as well. Every parent was given instructions on how to evaluate their child’s work and show him gratitude for his efforts at school each and every day. Further advice to parents was to make family reading time at home mandatory.

The significance of setting high goals for the pupils was also covered throughout these sessions. Students will cease considering traveling overseas once they begin preparing themselves for a lofty objective, protecting them from the exploitation that young Punjabis experience abroad.
