To upload live photos for recruitment exam forms, SSC has launched an app

For online applications, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released an app that requires applicants to provide a live picture. Following concerns about difficulties submitting images in Selection Post Examination Phase 12, the commission has taken this action. You may download the “MY SSC” app from the Google Play Store.

In an effort to stop candidates from manipulating their images during recruitment exams, SSC has chosen to post real photos. You need to have a simple backdrop and sufficient lighting in order to post live images. A hat, mask, or spectacles should not be worn while capturing live images.

Formerly, the image must not have been taken more than three months prior to the announcement of the recruiting. Nevertheless, the panel lacked a mechanism to determine the number of months since the picture was taken. The SSC’s regulation allowing applicants to submit live images will release them from having to pay for repeated photo shoots. Candidates will be able to submit their live images to the “My SSC” app whenever they need to apply.

A new website, ssc.gov.in, was previously revealed by SSC and became operational on February 17, 2024. The commission did note, however, that applicants would still be able to visit the current website, ssc.nic.in, via a link that will be provided on the new website. “With great joy, the Staff Selection Commission announces the inauguration of a new website that went online on February 17, 2024. A link on the new website will allow users to view the current website as well,” the SSC notice said.

“All applicants are recommended to complete a new one-time registration (OTR) on the Staff Selection Commission’s new website, https://ssc.gov.in/, since the one-time registration (OTR) completed on the previous version of the commission’s website, https://ssc.nic.in/, is invalid. It also said that “For Candidates > Special Instructions > Instructions for Filling Out One-Time Registration (OTR)” has comprehensive one-time registration instructions.
