23-Year-Old TSPSC Aspirant’s Death Sparks Protests In Hyderabad: “Murder Of Dreams”

In Ashok Nagar in Hyderabad, a 23-year-old woman who was studying for competitive exams reportedly committed herself in her dorm room, sparking a protest among residents looking to apply for government jobs, according to the police. Many job seekers gathered there reported she committed herself because she was unable to get employment and the state Public Service Commission had postponed the group-2 service test. However, according to the police, she committed the action because of personal concerns.

Coaching facilities and job seekers congregate at Ashok Nagar. After arriving at the scene, BJP MP K Laxman claimed on X that he had asked for the suicide note of the lady to be made public but was “arrested” instead. She spent months meticulously getting ready for government exams. But she chose the drastic measure since the BRS administration had repeatedly postponed and cancelled examinations, he claimed.

Justice was requested by the BJP MP for the lady and all others impacted by the state government’s “sheer negligence” in addition to the woman. A Revanth Reddy, the president of the Telangana Congress, expressed his sorrow over the suicide and said that the BRS administration had improperly conducted recruitment examinations.

The opposition Congress and BJP have previously criticized the K Chandrashekar Rao administration over the question paper leak of recruitment tests held by the Telangana State Public Service Commission. Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan instructed the Chief Secretary, the Director General of Police, and the Secretary, TSPSC to provide a thorough report on the suicide within 48 hours, while the Congress called for statewide protests.

The passing also became a campaign topic as Congress leaders promised that if Telangana elected them, they would “release a job calendar, reorganize the TSPSC on the model of UPSC in one month, and fill 2 lakh vacant government posts within a year.”

“This is murder, not suicide; it is the killing of young people’s goals, dreams, and aspirations. Today’s unemployment has utterly destroyed Telangana’s young. Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition Congress, said that the state has been destroyed by the ineptitude of the BJP Relative Committee, BRS, and BJP during the last ten years.
