A bus accident in Hamirpur left 34 wounded

A Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus had an accident here on Sunday, injuring thirty-four people, according to authorities.

According to them, the accident happened on Saturday night at Tiale Da Ghat near Bhota Kaswa, around 16 miles from Hamirpur.

Eyewitnesses said that the bus was abruptly cut off as it was passing a steep corner close to Tiale Da Ghat by a vehicle. In an attempt to save the vehicle, the bus driver veered to the left, crashing into a slope and causing an accident.

According to the authorities, out of the approximately fifty passengers on the bus headed for Vrindaban from Hamirpur, nine, including the driver, had significant injuries and were undergoing

therapy at the Medical College in Hamirpur.

They stated that the bus’s steering wheel had to be removed in order to remove the driver. The remaining twenty-five wounded passengers, according to the authorities, were taken to get treatment at Bhota Hospital in the Hamirpur district.

After arriving at the location, a police squad under the command of ASI Rajesh Kumar conducted rescue and relief efforts. They were also assisted by the local business community. Authorities said there has been

registered, and an inquiry is underway.
