AAP and BJP spar over summons

The AAP said that the ED is targeting its leaders at the BJP’s request, hours after the ED summoned Kailash Gahlot. The party claimed that the BJP received funding from the “liquor mafia” and had direct ties to the accused.

In the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP’s ally TDP has nominated Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, whose son Raghava Magunta Reddy was detained by the ED in relation to the excise policy case, according to top AAP activists Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj.

“Atishi further claimed that Sarath Reddy, another witness against Kejriwal in the excise policy case, had previously paid Rs 55 crore to the BJP through electoral bonds, proving the party has connection to the ‘South lobby.'”

Ahead of the INDIA bloc demonstration at Ramlila Maidan on Saturday, the BJP, firing back at the AAP and the opposition coalition, said that the AAP had descended to such depths that they now stood side to shoulder with individuals they had previously accused of corruption.

Sachdeva said, “AAP minister Kailash Gahlot’s role in the liquor scam has come to the fore,” in response to the ED’s interrogation of the minister. However, it has come to light that the Congress collected around Rs 626 crores from various businesses between 2014 and 2019,” said Virendra Sachdeva, the president of the Delhi BJP.

“Delhi people are stunned to witness ‘Team Kejriwal’ sink to its lowest points, requesting political asylum from individuals they once denigrated during their campaign as India Against Corruption advocates,” he said.

Gopal Rai, the leader of the AAP, visited Ramlila Maidan on Saturday to oversee the preparations for the INDIA bloc’s “Loktantra Bachao Rally.” He said that more than a dozen well-known opposition party leaders will be attending the demonstration, which is being held in response to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s incarceration. “Take away dictatorship, preserve democracy,” Rai reiterated the goal.

Plans for security

According to authorities, Delhi Police has prepared intricate plans for “Maharally,” including screening at every gate and deploying paramilitary forces in and around Ramlila Maidan. There would be around twelve paramilitary companies stationed across downtown Delhi, including DDU Marg, where Section 144 will continue to be in effect. There will be no march permitted.

rules governing traffic
