Because of CAA, no one will lose their citizenship: Rajnath

On Monday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh allayed concerns over the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and made it clear that no Indian, regardless of religion, will lose their citizenship as a result of the law’s implementation.

He accused the DMK and the opposition Congress of “creating confusion” on the matter.

Rajnath was addressing after a roadshow in this area in favor of KP Ramalingam, the party’s Namakkal candidate for the Lok Sabha elections on April 19.

The building of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the repeal of Article 370, and the CAA were examples of the kind of guarantees the BJP consistently carried out, he added.
