BJP officials highlight cultural legacy at the Vikram Samvat festivities

The Hindu New Year, Vikram Samvat 2081, was celebrated by the BJP in the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, which was turned into a center of spiritual and cultural fanaticism. Many Delhiites turned out to celebrate this occasion, demonstrating the city’s enduring customs.

Virendra Sachdeva, the president of the Delhi BJP, spearheaded the festivities and set the tone for a day full of respect. The stadium was filled with the lyrical bhajans of Hansraj Raghuwanshi, creating an electrifying atmosphere. Some in the audience held saffron flags, bringing a bright pop of color to the festivities as they danced to the tunes.

Saints and spiritual authorities gave the occasion an extra dash of heavenly grace. The blessing of Swami Gyananand Maharaj seems to bring the varied group together, highlighting common spiritual ideals while transcending divides. A number of BJP parliamentary candidates, including Manoj Tiwari and Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, took the platform, making a significant political presence known as well. Their words, which emphasized community, solidarity, and tradition, were poignant and understood.

Poetess Anamika Amber provided a touch of culture to the occasion by enchanting the audience with her poetry interpretations, while dance theatrics brought the Ramayana stories to life, enthralling both young and old.

Pushkar Singh Dhami, the chief minister of Uttarakhand, was among the distinguished visitors and praised the opulence of the festivities. “Seeing so many people come together to celebrate our rich cultural heritage is heartening,” he said, emphasizing the need of upholding Sanatan traditions.

Attendees included Union Minister Piyush Goyal, who had just returned from Mumbai’s Mahavir Jayanti festivities. “Delhi today feels like a living embodiment of the Ramayana,” the man said.

In charge of the Delhi BJP’s LS election, Om Prakash Dhankhar, said, “This is a testament to our shared faith and values; it’s more than just an event.”

Virendra Sachdeva, the head of the Delhi BJP, stressed the need of preserving and enhancing India’s rich cultural diversity. “We are stronger because of our traditions, and occasions like this serve as a constant reminder of their significance,” he said, exhorting everyone to be proud of their background.

With the words, “Today was a celebration of who we are as a people, a reminder of our shared past, and a promise of a united future,” organizer Karnail Singh succinctly captured the spirit of the day.
