Chief of the Samajwadi Party Akhilesh Yadav travels to Mumbai for personal business

Akhilesh Yadav, the head of the Samajwadi Party and a former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, paid a visit to Mumbai on Monday. An SP official said that since it was a personal visit, no political meetings had place.

He said that there was no meeting planned with NCP leader Sharad Pawar, a pillar of the opposition who has been working to get parties together to oppose the BJP. Yadav did not attend any political events during his visit; it was a personal one. He was greeted by several Mumbai-based party members at the hotel where he was staying today,” he added.
